Living on the Gold Coast is a source of inspiration for many, including the talented florists at Moss n Stone. The wide open spaces and natural beauty provide us with a sense of calm, which is perfectly captured by the sandy hues and endless shades of blue that the ocean presents.
Let us share with you how we incorporate fresh flowers into this wonderful inspiration of the Gold Coast, where we live.
Sandy Neutrals and Calming Pastels
Imagine for a moment standing on a pristine Gold Coast beach, taking in the soft beiges, gentle creams and subtle tones of the sand. Flowers such as creamy roses, white lisianthus and peachy carnations, paired with textured dried elements like pampas grass, convey these sentiments of peacefulness and serenity.

Ocean Blues and Greens
The ever-changing colours of the ocean are a great source of inspiration for everyone, from interior designers to florists. We love all the shades of blue, from the lightest turquoise to the deepest navy and the fresh, seafoam greens.
Just like the ocean, flowers come in many shades of blue and green. Hydrangeas, delphiniums, orchids and bluebells add a sense of variety reminiscent of the sea, and the silvery, blue-green leaves of the eucalyptus are perfect accompanying foliage.
- Our floral recommendation: Classic Green & White
Pink and Orange Sunsets
We are treated to magnificent shades of pink and orange as the sun sets on the Gold Coast. These warm colours are ideal for cheerful and vibrant bouquets. Gerberas, roses and the ever-versatile carnation can perfectly capture these sunset tones.
- Our floral recommendation: Something Lush
Coral Accents
Our local rocky reefs support a diverse array of stunning corals in shades of red, orange and purple. So, too, our blooms reflect these gorgeous colours. We use flowers like anthuriums, brilliant kangaroo paws and striking proteas to bring these vibrant reef hues to your arrangements.
