Meet The Team

Sandie
Owner of Moss N Stone
Sandie is the matriarch of the Moss n Stone family. With an inspiring story to tell, Sandie left her successful 30+ career in the sales and corporate arena after enduring a life-changing experience with breast cancer in 2017. Wanting to make others happy, while giving back to those who helped her along the way, Sandie decided to own and operate her very own business (cue Moss N Stone); a business that was renowned in the community for bringing happiness to many people’s lives. Well-known for her tenacious, driven and hard-working nature, Sandie has an unwavering passion for her budding business, so much so, that when she is not meeting with brides and corporate clients as well as traveling to the flower markets bright and early, you will often find her hands-on in store, conversing with customers, stocking shelves, processing flowers – there is nothing this wonder-woman doesn’t do! With an eye for quality products and a background in exemplary customer service, together with a love for colours and design (and a desire to make people smile!), Sandie puts her heart into Moss N Stone, with the backing and unconditional love and support from her husband Kerrod, aka Mr Moss.
Favourite bloom: Iris

Tammie
Never a dull day is had when Tammie is around. With an upbeat nature, hilarious stories, admirable conversational skills and a love for floristry, Tam will not only create the most gorgeous bunch of florals for you, but she will become your best friend doing so. Having built an extremely successful career within the travel industry, Tammie decided to leave it all behind to pursue her passion for floristry in 2015. Five years on and she is now an invaluable senior floral designer as well as Manager at Moss n Stone, perfectly fusing her floral creativity with her extensive business and events background. The mother-of-two also ensures the team is supported, cared for and well-fed, often bringing an extra sandwich or two for fellow colleagues incase they skipped breakfast.
Favourite bloom: Natives

Cait
Creative by nature, Caitlin is our writer turned florist. Having studied journalism, followed by a career in Public Relations, Caitlin was drawn to the sentimental beauty of florals and making others happy — deciding to take the leap and pursue her love for floristry. Being part of the Moss N Stone team for more than four years now, Cait is one of our senior floral designers, as well as our social media guru. A perfectionist at heart, Cait cares deeply, channeling her heart and soul into every arrangement she makes. When she is not playing with blooms, you might catch her casually writing a screenplay or two.
Favourite bloom: Queen Annes Lace

Judith
An exceptional florist with a strong eye for detail, you will notice Judith’s work has a strong European-flair. This is because our bubbly mother-of-two was born and raised in The Netherlands, where she also completed her extensive three-year floristry course. Having been a florist now for fifteen years, Judith finds the utmost joy in brightening a person’s day with beautiful florals and enjoys the challenge of creating intricate arrangements – from corsages and boutonnieres to specialised bespoke designs, her work always emanates perfection.
Favourite Bloom: Lily of the Valley

Michelle
Graduating from floristry school in 2020, our lovely Michelle is one talented budding florist. Her passion for floristry stemmed many years ago at the age of 18, when she decided to do a flower course with her Nanna. Though she enjoyed it then, her floristry career truly blossomed after many memorable life events – she married, had two beautiful girls and worked within her family business for more than 20 years. When her family business closed, she was able to take time for herself, reigniting her love for florals and leading her back to floristry. A total natural with blooms, Michelle creates the most gorgeous floral arrangements and is one of the creative geniuses behind our many dried and preserved bundles.
Favourite bloom: Peonies

Abbey
Though she really should have been a professional singer, Abbey is one of our super talented senior florists at Moss N Stone. She started in the industry 14 years ago, when she took her first job straight out of high school at a flower shop in Beerwah. Not long after did she get her Certificate II in Floristry — having studied at the Brisbane North Institute of Tafe Grovely campus — which kickstarted her extensive career within the industry, including nine years at Perrots Florist in Brisbane as well as a year-long stint at Quince Flowers in Toronto, Canada. A total natural when it comes to blooms, Abbey’s creative, innovative, versatile and has a strong appreciation for contemporary floral design, which makes her our go-to for our weekly corporate florals and large-scale events. She’s also charismatic and effortlessly entertaining and quite literally knows most words to every song ever. Basically, if you hear someone singing in the shop, it will probably (definitely) be our Abbey. A fun-little non-flower fact about this blonde beauty, she also has a Bachelor in Audio Production.
